Shiloh Veterinary Open House

06/27/09 This year the Shiloh Veterinary Hospital East had an open house to introduce everyone to their new facility. YCDTC was invited to perform agility and rally demos as well as Flyball. It was a very hot, yet successful day. All involved had a blast and the doggies even had a pool to cool off in. Everyone enjoyed watching the demos, looked like Flyball was the favorite. There was a bloodhound rescue there and the female took time out to try the agility course herself. She enjoyed it and it was great for us to network with other animal organizations we do not normally see at events. The demo teams for agility and rally consisted of Carolyn and Max, Terri and Roo, Leslie and Copper and Laurie and Var did double duty helping us as well as helping the clinic as she works there. As it turns out, the Hospital found it to be such a success, they are considering making it an annual event and hope YCDTC will return if they do.

Dogs' Day in the Park

05/28/09 Animal Rescue of New Freedom's fifth annual Dogs' Day in the Park will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at John C. Rudy County Park in East Manchester Township. The rescue will also hold its annual dog walk in conjunction with the event. To raise funds for the shelter, download the sponsor sheet from AnimalRescueInc.org and ask neighbors, friends, family, co-workers, your employer and others to donate.
