Canine Candy Stripers

Share a bit of your self and your favorite canine(s).  Be a pet therapist.  Volunteer!  What better way to give back to your community than through pet therapy.  We at the YCDTC enjoy all sorts of activities with our dogs from training to shows, trials, and seminars.  By becoming a pet therapy volunteer you are expanding your dogs ability to make people smile and bring their blood pressure down.  Did you know that simply petting a dog or a cat could significantly reduce someone’s blood pressure? 

Our pet therapy program consists of certified volunteers who have passed an accredited pet therapy program test/certification process and are in good standing with that organization.  Delta Society, Therapy Dog International, and Therapy Dog Incorporated are 3 such programs. 

 It takes a special team to perform volunteer pet therapy work.  Do you and your dog have what it takes?
